Yesterday I went to the Huntington Gardens and Library with the full intention of following Leigh's instructions on finding the piece I thought was the ugliest and contemplating it. Unfortunately I don't think the artwork there gave much food for thought because it was simply all beautiful and the assignment didn't work for me this time. Perhaps it has to be done at a modern museum? They did have an exhibition on history of science and I love historical drawings of the earliest scientists and their ideas. I came across one who believed that light came from our eyes!
The gardens were beautiful and I took a lot of photos to add to my inventory of things I may want to paint someday. Here is one I thought I'd share with you all and you are welcome to paint it but be sure to post it!
