Hi everybody! Just thought I'd post one of my daily drawings. I am struggling with staying open and loose after Esalen, I will post a large painting I am working on when I get it into better shape. Miss you all and hope this blog can keep us all working and looking together.

That is a daily drawing? It is more like a piece of work! It has more solid blocks of color than the work you did in Esalen. Did you use pastel? I can't wait to see your large painting.
Hi Maria, I really like this daily draft. I think you should keep doing them. It is a substantially executed work. Look forward to seeing your big painting. Thanks out to you and Liz for geting this off the ground. Anne
I love that Maria... it looks so balanced . I have been trying to draw or paint something everyday as well.. It's fun to put something on such a small page.
ps i'm having a bit of trouble figuring out how to sign in so that was me debbie (ananymous last comment)
Thanks everyone, for the comments. yes I call these drawings, but they are little watercolor paintings--sometimes acrylic, but mostly executed with water-soluble graphite, caran dache watercolor crayons and a tiny travel watercolor set. Liz, I didn't use pastel at all--for some reason, I don;t like pastel very much--I think it's too chalky and dry for me, and then there's the problem of fixing it--but I have the box from esalen on my studio table-- maybe I'll get over my bad self and dive in!
